The BEE Star Rating program aims to encourage consumers to choose energy-efficient products by providing them with information about the energy performance of various appliances. The program assigns star ratings to different types of appliances based on their energy efficiency, with a higher number of stars indicating higher efficiency.
The star rating system covers a wide range of appliances, including air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, fans, lighting products, and more. The rating criteria are periodically updated by BEE to reflect advancements in technology and energy efficiency standards.
Manufacturers voluntarily participate in the BEE Star Rating program by submitting their products for testing and evaluation. For the star labelling programme, House of Testing Lab provides testing facilities for a range of items and help to promote energy conservation and driving the adoption of energy-efficient appliances in India. We also take part in the market sample check testing as a BEE-listed lab.
